Search Console dashboard for multiple sites
See clicks, impressions, CTR and position for every Search Console property in one place, with plain advice on what to improve first.
Updated 5 min read
Search Console shows one property at a time. Datumboard lists every property your Google account can read, lets you map each one to a project and shows them side by side.
What does the Search Console dashboard show?
For each site, over the window you choose:
- Totals: clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, with the change against the previous period.
- Over time: a daily chart of clicks and impressions.
- Breakdowns: the queries, pages, countries and devices behind the numbers.
Data that is not available reads Not available. A missing figure is never shown as zero.
Which date ranges are supported?
Choose 7 or 28 days, 3, 6 or 12 months, or a custom range. When you choose a range that has not been stored yet, Datumboard fetches it from Google automatically and shows what it is fetching. Switching back to a range you already have simply shows it, without another request.
Google keeps about 16 months of Search Console data, and a custom range can span at most 366 days. If the comparison period would reach back beyond what Google keeps, the comparison is left out instead of showing an error.
What does it tell me to improve first?
A short list of opportunities, each with the action to take:
- Close to page one. Queries that rank in positions 11 to 20 and already have impressions.
- Lower click-through than usual for the position. Pages that appear often but are clicked less than is typical for where they rank, which usually means the title or description needs work.
The advice follows the window you pick, and each item says what it is based on.
How does it connect Lighthouse scores to deploys?
Datumboard keeps Lighthouse results over time and shows a score drop beside the deploy that came before it. That tells you where to start looking after a regression. It is timing, not proof of cause, and the page says so.
Is it safe to connect Google?
The connection uses Google sign-in with read-only access to Search Console. It can only see properties your Google account is allowed to read, which is why clients should add you as a user on their property instead of sharing a login. Our guide on viewing several Search Console sites together explains how.
How do I get started?
Datumboard is in early access. You can join the list below and read how to compare Search Console sites by hand in the meantime.
Frequently asked questions
Does Datumboard change anything in my Search Console?
No. It connects to Google with read-only access to Search Console and only reads performance data. It cannot add or remove properties, submit sitemaps or change settings.
Which date ranges can I view?
Seven or 28 days, three, six or twelve months, or a custom range of up to 366 days. Search Console keeps about 16 months of data, so ranges that reach back further than that are not available.
What does close to page one mean?
It lists queries where your site ranks between positions 11 and 20 and has real impressions. A small improvement can move them onto the first page, so they are usually the cheapest wins.
Does a Lighthouse score drop mean the last deploy broke something?
Not necessarily. Datumboard shows a score drop next to the deploy that came before it, because that is where to look first, but it is timing and not proof of cause.
